Privacy Policy
This is intentionally live placeholder copy. It is not final legal advice or final privacy wording. It exists so guests and members can access a clear privacy page while final How I Care policy copy is prepared and approved.
What this page covers
This placeholder explains the current staging privacy baseline for How I Care Community. The platform is being prepared as a supportive community space where people can create an account, manage a profile, verify email ownership, and access protected member areas.
Information we expect to collect
- Account details such as name, email address, password hash, verification status, approval status, and role state.
- Profile details you choose to provide, such as display name, short bio, visibility setting, city/country, and community label.
- Technical information needed to keep the service safe and operating, such as session data, security logs, and basic request metadata.
- Support, moderation, or safety-related information if you contact the team or report a concern.
How information is used
- To create and protect accounts.
- To support profile editing and member access.
- To send essential account emails, including verification and password reset messages.
- To keep the community safer through access control, moderation support, and abuse prevention.
- To operate and improve the staging platform.
What is not final yet
Final privacy wording, retention periods, third-party processor lists, jurisdiction-specific notices, and formal contact/escalation wording still need to be supplied by the appropriate policy owner. This page will be replaced or revised when approved final copy is available.
Current safety commitment
Until final copy is supplied, the operational commitment is to keep access to account/profile data limited to what is needed to build, operate, verify, and secure the staging platform.
